Information on processing of personal data

„Share your success story” initative is a part of „SGH Alumni Leaders – distinguished stories, award-worthy people” project financed by Polish Agency for Academic Exchange (Narodową Agencję Wymiany Akademickiej) within International Alumni Programme. The organizer is SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

The organiser verifies and accept materials in accordance with the order of forms inflow. The organiser reserves the right to edit sent texts and not publish the ones which are irrelevant to the “Share your success story” initative goals.

Information on processing of personal data

  1. Controller The controller of personal data is SGH Warsaw School of Economics with its seat in Poland, 02-554 Warsaw, al. Niepodległości 162, hereinafter referred to as SGH.
  2. Data Protection Officer You may contact the Data Protection Officer designated by SGH via e-mail iod@sgh.waw.pl.
  3. The legal basis of processing of personal data The legal basis for processing of personal data is your consent - point (a) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the European Union, L 119, 4 May 2016, p. 1 as amended).
  4. The purposes of processing of personal data Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of:
    • Providing internet website dedicated to SGH alumni success stories which is a part of the project “Alumni Leaders – distinguished stories, award-worthy people” implemented by SGH Warsaw School of Economics and financed by Polish Agency for Academic Exchange (Narodową Agencję Wymiany Akademickiej) within International Alumni Programme.
    • Sending information related to the SGH's statutory activities (educational offer, conference information, training course details, information on events, bulletins, participation in research, alumni contacts), sending, by SGH units solely, information and offers from partner institutions and cooperating entities (conferences, events, bulletins, research participation), if a relevant consent was given.
  5. Voluntary data provision Providing personal data is voluntary, however necessary to for the purposes mentioned above.
  6. The recipients of the personal data • If the controller uses the services of other entities, personal data may be disclosed to them on the basis of contracts entrusting the processing of personal data, and these entities will be obliged to preserve the confidentiality of the data being processed.
    • Personal data may be disclosed to the National Agency of Academic Exchange (NAWA) in Warsaw.
  7. The period for which the personal data will be processed Your personal data shall be processed until the withdrawal of consent.
  8. The rights of data subject You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, or restrict the processing thereof.
    You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
    The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
    No automated decision-making will be conducted based on your personal data.
  9. The right to lodge a complaint You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes upon GDPR.
